If you stay at Coco's on Koh Phi Phi you will be able to enjoy one of the most remarkable islands in the world. Certainly you will have
the opportunity to explore one of the most celebrated beaches Maya Bay. If you like water sports, beach time, party time or just sight
seeing this island has it all. On top of that it is such a small island that there are no cars so you either walk or take a taxi longtail
boat. This really is tropical island bliss.

Ok, so here is the top 10 best things to do on Koh Phi Phi.

MAYA BAY

Maya Bay is world renown for it's majesty and lies amongst the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. Need I say more. Organise
a private boat or a tour. Visit Maya Bay after 3pm to avoid the visitors from Phuket.

VIEWPOINT

Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint enjoys the iconic view of Phi Phi Island with both bays infont of you and Phi Phi Ley to the south, this is
a must go to place if you want to get the perfect image of the Phi Phi Islands. The Viewpoint walk starts from Coco's guesthouse and follows
the concrete steps up the first 100 meters. After that you move into a coconut and cashew nut plantation, catching views on the way.
Start early or late to keep out of the sun and get some of the best images on the island.

DIVING

Koh Phi Phi Diving is famous for it's variety and dazzling marine life. The island has many dive schools where you can learn to dive
PADI or SSSI and there are many dive shops where you can organize fun dives to Maya Bay, Koh Bida, Shark Point, The Wreck and
over 20 uniquie dive sites. And here is one of the beauties that make Phi Phi Diving so popular, the dive sites start just 5 minutes from
the main pier, meaning no long boat rides to the start of the good stuff.

SNORKELING ON PHI PHI

Snorkeling on Phi Phi is a must if you want the marine life without all the hassle of the diving process. There are about 20km of
snorkeling reefs around Phi Phi Ley, Phi Phi Don, Bamboo and Mosquito Island. Most of this is between 4 and 6 meters deep and
some of the drop offs are where you can see some of the greatest variety of larger marine life. There are a multitude of daily
boat trips that take you around the main snorkeling sights that work well if you want to sight see the island as well. These are
highly recommended when you first arrive to get an idea of how the islands shape up. Small longtail boat trips are more intimate
than the converted fishing boat trips that take up to 40 people on board. If you hire a private longtail boat you get to see.

FIRESHOW ON LOH DALUM BEACH

Fireshows on Phi Phi are all the rage on Loh Dalum Beach. The sun goes down at around 6.30-7pm and it is great
fun to hang out at one of the beach bars like Slinkies, or Woodies and take in the sights and sounds of this latest craze.
Choose the music style that you like most and watch as the local guys juggle, dance and perform great feats of agility.
There is something about fire that is primordial and captures your inner soul.

LONG BEACH

Long Beach on Phi Phi is just a 10 minute taxi boat ride from the main pier or a 25 minute steady stroll along the beach
front. Long beach has one of the island most magical settings with views over towards the cliffs of Phi Phi Ley and the Tonsai Cliffs.
Long beach has a bauetiful white sandy beach with a pretty coral reef infront of it. It is really good snorkeling.

Shark Point is at the far eastern point of Long Beach, clearly visable as 3 low lying rocks just above the surface of the sea.
From here you can see harmless Black Tip Reef Shark glidding over the coral in search of squid and bass. Some shark can get to 2 meters!

THE REMOTER PHI PHI ISLANDS

Bamboo island is at the far northern extremities of the Phi Phi archipelago and is a 25 minute taxi boat ride from the
main pier. You can get to spend some time here on the one day tour of the islands and this can be fun. Other remoter areas of Phi Phi
include Mosquito island and Lanah Bay. Take a local guide or hire a private boat and you can find places that few others reach.

WANG LONG

Wang Long is an inlet on the west side of Phi Phi Don Island. Wang Long is a deep cut in sheer rock that goes 150 m
inland. The micro beach at the end has an enchanting aura but care must be made getting over the reef som60 meters from the sandy
edge. The cave at the end is one of the many entrances for the cave system for those who harvest the Birds nests, the key
ingrediants of Bird's Nest Soup.

LONGTAIL TOURS ON PHI PHI ISLANDS

Longtail boats are the traditional way of getting round the islands. As late as 1990 most people arrived on the island
by longtail boats. Many find this the only way to travel around and, though rough and ready, have an old world charm. This is
the best budget way to hire a boat if you want privacy. Longtail boats are the main form of taxi to Long Beach, Runtee Bay.
The one day tour of the island is a joint trip that visits Loh Samah, Maya Bay Bamboo Island and Long Beach.

LOCAL FOOD

Thai Food is everywhere in the main village. There are many tourists passing through so many eateries for all tastes.
However, if you go near the central market you will see a flurry of local fish, fruit and meat sellers and the obigatory Pat Thai
stalls. Most restaurants will have Thai food on their menu and there are many places that serve Western, namely Italian, Mexican,
Swedish, and French.
